first week of break more or less completed @ 09:51 am

I did manage to do some of the goals last week but after the initial 'putting outside' stuff, no more has got out there.......I haven't called the local auctioneers either but hey I still have another week off!

I did though catch up with 2 pals out here in the West, neither of them suffer from similar health issues, do university or craft. One is a longtime pal from when I was a volunteer @ CAB (she has retired to, now!) and the other a friend through a completely different avenue.

I went to Uni on Friday because 2 of the books on the 'early department stores establishments' were recalled and I spent a number of hours last week scrolling and scanning their hard copy pages......I had to pick up my notes from History the week before, take a copy of my Special Conditions to the Comparative Lit lecturer for the forthcoming essay test.......generally bum around there! Tidied up my locker yet again.

:-( the weather went completely pear shaped. I had been in Brians' office @ Disability saying how jolly nice this lovely sunny weather was.......and by the time I got to then of the covered walkway it was pouring with rain! At some point, maybe 10mins later I returned to his office and said "what sun!" - 20mins later it slowed enough for me to dash to the next covered verandah......I went back to my locker and got my brolly out and continued on my adventure around Uni.

At some point this last week I decided that I would get my Dragon NaturallySpeaking machinery to work, I had never particularly used it for a full essay would be a good idea to do that.  However after two days of problems I was ready to throw it out the window.  I put in the discs and try to get it repaired.  This morning I uninstall the system, rebooted the computer, and then I have reinstalled it.  This last paragraph, I have basically dictated to you.

So I'm beginning again to train and properly use the software in the hype that I will be able to use it full time very soon.

Sorry about the gap above, I had told the computer to do something and it did something little bit different.  YIKES!  wow I managed to get the computer to do word that is all in capitals!  Anyway enough of this silliness I must get on with life, household chores, go out shopping because cheese is on special this week.

turned microphone off.....because it getting tiring at times changing words. Many of the words that we speak to one another with have basically nearly the same tones. And although the computer can mostly understand me (in the end) it does some odd words.....if I think about what it typed I can see how it thought I said xyz! Cheese came out as Jesus (can you imagine that one special!!)

Gotta go.....break is going well as expected. This next week problems with Bobby which I have to address/help as needs be. I'm buying some of his food shopping on Monday and I have been given strict instructions on it all!! I also need to study for a forthcoming essay test in Comp Lit. Do some more work on "cathedrals of consumption" essay and generally unwind for the upwinding in the forthcoming weeks.

Oops just remembered, exam timetable out and there are no double bookings of exams BUT of course, have got one on the last bl**dy day of the Semester!

see you all again soon.......here at the coalface, cds
